Holiday Events for Families with Children Ages 0-6

Moore County » December 22-28

Hi friends 🤍

We’re doing things a little differently this week! First and foremost, thank you so much for being here and following along this year. Watching this community grow the way it has has been really special, and it wouldn’t exist without you showing up, sharing feedback, and spreading the word.

MoCo Mom originally started as a way to help families find access to childcare without a two-year waitlist — and to connect parents to our favorite Mommy’s Morning Out programs that can be sometimes hard to find! But as surveys kept coming in, what we heard over and over was simple: you want more chances to connect in real life.

So next year, we’re leaning into that.

We’ll continue doing what we’ve always done behind the scenes — staying in close communication with schools to track openings and registration deadlines — but we’re also bringing more opportunities to gather to the surface. That means weekly ways to connect, both free and partner-hosted.

Our free recurring playdates will continue on Wednesdays at Weymouth, along with Thursday’s New Mother Support Group. We’re also hoping to add a few casual brunch-style gatherings for moms over the weekends.

Each month, we’ll also keep supporting our partner businesses through playdates and events — including Sandhills Gymnastics playdates, craft days at Kidcentric, afternoon playdates at VirtoKids, and the occasional My Gym & Connection Corner meetup. All proceeds from these events go directly back to our partners, because supporting the organizations that open their doors to our families matters so much to us.

And our biggest news: We’re finalizing some things with coaches at Pinehurst Resort to offer even more golf outings and getaways just for moms. Who said camp was just for kids? 😉 (Just give us a little time to roll it all out.)

Thank you again for building this community alongside us. This will be our last email of the year as we slow down and tuck in with our families over the holidays. Things may be a little quiet in your inbox and on social until around January 5, when we’ll kick back into gear.

We hope you have the coziest, happiest holiday — and we can’t wait to see you in the new year! 🤍
