PE in the Pines’ fall registration just opened! 🍂 Their 4-week semester kicks off Wednesday, October 15th, and runs through November 5th. They have classes for—TOTS P.E. (ages 18 months–2 years) and PEEWEE P.E. (ages 2–5). Learn more here! Or get registered.
Southern Pines Parks & Rec just launched kid-friendly, tag-along workouts for moms—and the best part? There’s a Wednesday afternoon class that won’t interfere with the mother-of-all stroller-friendly groups, SLAM!
A new Mommy & Me Class was just announced at Independence Academy. This program runs September–November and February–June on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9–10 AM, with monthly registration required. Families can enjoy guided circle time with stories, music, and songs; simple, engaging crafts; open-ended playground play; time on the nature trails and more! Apply Here.
VirtoKids is now offering parties! 🎉 They provide private play space access, staff support, setup and cleanup, and 1–2 hour party windows. Celebrations can be customized with favorite local vendors they’re connected to—making party planning simple and fun! Learn more here.

Nature School For-A-Day “Ducks”, 9 AM - 1 PM @ DIRT Outdoor School in Robbins
Students will learn the differences between domesticated and wild ducks, explore basic duck anatomy, and discover how to care for our quacking friends. This drop-off day program is for ages 4–10 and costs $35 per child.
Infant/Baby Storytime, 9:30 AM & 10:30 AM @ Moore County Library
The Moore County Library in Carthage offers Infant Storytime every Wednesday at 9:30 and 10:30 am for parents and caregivers with babies newborn to 24 months.
My Grown-Up & Me Yoga & Play (ages 1-5), 9:30 AM @ The Connection Corner
Together, you’ll practice playful yoga poses, partner stretches, and calming breathwork that build connection, strength, and joy. Registration includes one caregiver and one child. Regular class rates apply.
Learn and Play at the Library, 10 AM - 12 PM @ Southern Pines Library
Come in for an open play date with your toddler or preschooler. There will be developmental toys and puzzles as well as early literacy tips on display for parents and caregivers to incorporate into their daily activities.
