Summer reading season is in full swing this week, with Summer Reading Stations popping up all over the county — from the Moore County Sports Complex on Monday to the Rassie Wicker Splash Pad on Tuesday, Aberdeen Parks & Rec and Southern Pines Splash Pad on Wednesday. Each stop gives kids a free book and a snack, so it's the perfect excuse to chase a little literacy magic between pool days. Click here for the full 2026 Schedule.
Tuesday brings our KidCentric Creative Studio playdate at 10 AM, where craft tables, sensory stations, and a cozy calm corner make for a relaxed morning with fellow MoCo families.
Head to VirtoKids for our playdate on Friday from 3:30–5 PM this week (RSVP under Happenings!). They also are running Camp Virto through this month!
And don't miss The Babysitters Club 40th Anniversary Party on Saturday, from 11:30 AM–1 PM at the Aberdeen Public Library — a fun celebration of 40 years of literacy and nostalgia for BSC fans big and small.
